There are a number of websites within Derbyshire that are
allied to the Service and ex-Service communities. It is intended to list
some of them here.
Clowne Remembrance
and Poppy Appeal Clowne is a village which
does not have its own Royal British Legion Branch. The village has a good
sense of community and nothing demonstrates this more than in November on
Remembrance Sunday when it holds a Parade and Service to honour the war dead
whose names appear on the village Cenotaph. Clowne and the neighbouring
village of Barlborough have given an increasing amount to the Poppy Appeal over
the years and this is shown on the pages of this website.
