Standard Bearers' Training School

Derbyshire Royal British Legion periodically have Standard Bearers' training schools.  These schools, which are run by the Standard Bearers Association, instruct the trainee Standard Bearer using the Ceremonial Handbook as a guide to movements with the Standard. The instruction starts with the Basic Movements of the Standard and depending on proficiency goes through to Standard Bearer Competition Movements.


Existing, new or prospective Standard Bearers are most welcome to attend these schools, which generally take place on the first Saturday of the month in the Parish Rooms, St. Marys Gate, Wirksworth, Derbyshire DE4 4DQ.  If you wish to attend the school get in touch with the contact below.


Dates for the school in 2010 are; 8th May, 5th June, 3rd July,
4th September, 2nd October and 6th November
