Darley Abbey Presentation to 2 Mercian

 Members of the Darley Abbey Club have privately raised money for the welfare fund of the local regiment that has recently returned from a tour of duty in Afghanistan. On Thursday 5th November 2009, two soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, The Mercian Regiment (Worcesters and Foresters) were present at the Club in Darley Street, Darley Abbey, Derby DE22 1DX to receive the money. Privates Michael Nugent and Derion Jess were presented with a cheque for £600.00, payable to 2 Mercian Soldiers Welfare Fund.
