On Monday 10th August 2009, The Lord Lieutenant of Derbyshire and the High Sheriff of Derbyshire visited
The Royal British Legion at the Derbyshire County Offices, Saxon House, Heritage Gate, Derby DE1 1NL to be
briefed on the working of the Legion.

The Lord Lieutenant of Derbyshire, Mr Willie Tucker, took up his new role on Thursday 14th May 2009.
He succeeds Mr John Bather (now Sir) who held the office for 15 years. Mr Bather also held the
position of Patron of Derbyshire Royal British Legion until his retirement.
The High Sheriff of Derbyshire, Sir Henry Every Bt DL, was installed in his new role in April 2009.
He succeeds Lord Ralph Kerr, of Melbourne Hall. Sir Henry is the 13th Baronet and is the
seventh member of his family to hold this position.
During the visit the County Chairman, Mr Bernard Page briefed the guests on the overall operations
of the The Royal British Legion in Derbyshire its Branches, Clubs and the Membership. Then followed
a full presentation by the County Manager, Major (Retired) Paul Mulingani, of the casework and the
extensive Welfare Services within the County. The dignitaries toured the County Offices and met the
County Welfare Officers and the other Welfare Staff. They also visited The Regular Forces Employment
Association (RFEA) Office and met Mr David Donovan, the resident RFEA Employment Consultant.
