Byng House is a beautiful Grade II listed building, it was refurbished in 2008
and a new three storey building at the side links the listed Georgian house
to the rear Sydney Frankenburg wing.
Byng House provides Poppy Breaks for up to 68 guests for either a one or two
week stay. There are 36 guest bedrooms, a variety of single, twin and
inter-connecting rooms all with en-suite with either a wet area or low level
entry shower. Half of the bedrooms suitable for disabled people. All
bedrooms are equipped with a flat screen TV, an alarm call system,
telephone for incoming calls only and have a comfortable seating area.
Some rooms have air cooling.
Guests who need care, are welcome to apply if accompanied by their own
carer and by prior agreement with the Manager.
A variety of entertainment and social outings is provided via our House
Committee Amenity Fund for guests to enjoy during their stay with us.

Southport and its surrounding areas are famous for their
stunning beaches and coastline, which ooze natural beauty and wildlife.
Experience the thrill of the fair or the fast flumes at Splash World… or
for something more tranquil stroll down the beautiful pier. Culture
lovers can get their fix from the Southport Arts Centre, Theatre and
Convention Centre and the Little Theatre which have a packed programme of
events all year round. Or wander around the Atkinson Art Gallery, located
in the Southport Arts Centre.
Byng House has three free bus outings per week to local areas of interest
and one evening outing each week to a local Royal British Legion club for
entertainment, bingo and raffles.
