The Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance
The Festival of Remembrance is an annual event held at Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Gore, London on the Saturday
the eve of Remembrance Sunday. It is held to honour those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in the service of
their country. The Festival comprises a service of Remembrance and an observance of the Two Minute Silence. It
is also an opportunity to think about the Service men and women around the world who are putting their lives at
risk protecting our peace and freedom today.
If you would like to attend The Royal British Legion’s annual Festival of Remembrance, you should be aware
that tickets for the evening performance are only available for Legion members, and are issued to them through
their Counties and Branches. Tickets for the evening performance for Legion members in Derbyshire are allocated
to Branches for details of this allocation follow the link to Festival of Remembrance Tickets.
However, there is an afternoon performance, which is identical to that of the evening and this is open to the public.
Tickets for this are available generally after 1st September, and applicants should contact the Royal Albert Hall

Derbyshire Royal British Legion receives an annual allocation of tickets for The Royal British Legion's annual Festival
of Remembrance. To cope with the demand for tickets the County has been divided into North and South Derbyshire and
tickets are then allocated to Branches in either the North or South of the County in alternate years. There is a
condition set for granting tickets to Branches and this is:
"That Branches who have not submitted Branch Balance Sheets, Forms S.C.1 and paid their County
Subscriptions and complied with all dues and demands, shall not be granted tickets for the Annual
Festival of Remembrance."
The dates by which Branch documents must be received at the County Office are:
R. & P. Accounts - 31st December each year in accordance with the Rules of the Royal Charter.
Form M.S.1 - 31st December each year.
The above conditions will be strictly adhered to.
